Dr Bhattacharyya works with the bio-psycho-social-spiritual model in mind and enjoys forming long term meaningful connections with her patients. She has a special interest in Women s health.
She has vast experience in different roles in hospitals and outpatient settings for many years. She has a background in the field of biomedical research and brings this to her care of patients by using evidence based medicine in practice. She enjoys working with compassion and sensitivity.
Education:
Dr Bhattacharyya graduated from medical school in 2008 and worked at several hospitals in her home country India.
She came to the US in 2010 where she spent 4 years doing biomedical research at Rutgers University, NJ and published a scientific paper.
She thereafter completed Internship at Virginia Tech Carilion school of medicine and a residency in Psychiatry at Lincoln Hospital in the Bronx, New York.
During residency Dr Bhattacharyya took a keen interest in outpatient psychiatry, especially in women's health.
She enriches her life outside of work by spending time with family, reading, listening to music and painting.
